This competition challenged me to create a unique and eye-catching textile/surface design that well portrayed the spirit of Auburn. I drew inspiration from Auburn traditions, values, iconic features, and my personal experience’s to create a one-of-a-kind design that embodies the University’s unique character and spirit. Having grown up visiting Auburn, I developed a special love for the town and school. My passion for art, especially watercoloring started from a young age as I would often paint alongside my mom and sister, who was a student at auburn when I was young. I have always dreaming of using watercolor to create a textile design. Combining my personal history with Auburn and my love for watercolor I was inspired to design a piece that reflects both my artistic journey and the unique character of Auburn University.
