Maternity & Postpartum Wear
User-Centered Apparel Design Project
This collection was developed using a user-centered design approach, with a focus on maternity and postpartum needs. I began by to researching and drawing insights from individuals who have experienced pregnancy and the postpartum period. My oldest sister, who has three children, played a key role in the process by sharing my questions on her instagram stories. Through this, I was able to gather valuable feedback from a wide range of women in similar stages of life. I then took this feedback and used it to create a FEA (functional, emotional, and aesthetic) model, allowing me to throughly analyze the data and better understand the needs of the target market. This process ensured that the design was not only informed by real life experiences but also aligned with the specific challenges and desires of the maternity and postpartum community.
