Inspiration
The summer of 2023 I got to travel to Lisbon, Portugal. I was greatly inspired by the intriquite tiles and colors throughout the city. The tiles, beautiful yet practical, inspired my creation of CHARME. The detailed and beautiful tiles brought charm to the city which is why I felt inspired to name this line CHARME. CHARME is the portuguese word for charm. The tiles have beautiful patterns and colors which liven up the city, but also are used to keep the inside of the buildings a little cooler in the hot weather. They have been used and valued for years which is something I have incorporated in these designs. Each stunning peice is made with sustainability in mind through quality materials and development proesses, making them practical yet eye catching peices.

Sustainable Design Practices
Fibers, Dyes & Printing TechnologyAmni Soul Eco yarns are the first recycleable and bio degraeable 6.6 polyamide fiber. This fiber is not only high performence yet nontoxic but it providescomfort, great breathability, & strength. Amni Soul eco yarns are made with theenvironment in mind. The environemnt is respected in this process. Another sustainable swimwear facbric to is Repreve. Recycled plastic bottles used to create unique materials that emit fewer greenhouse gasses during production and concerves less energy and water. The dyes are OEKO-TEX® certefied to ensurethere are no toxins, and that every bit of our product is Eco-friendly
AATCC Technical Components
AATCC TM162 Colorfastness to Water: Chlorinated PoolThis testing method assesses the duribility of coloredtextile yarns and fabrics against exposure to chlorineated pools. This test is important to support the claim of duribilityand quality clothing made from natural dyes and materials.
AATCC TM199: Drying Time of Textiles: Moisture Analyzer MethodThis testing method evaluates the drying time of knits, wovenor nonwoven fabrics under elevated temperatures using a gravimetricmoisture analyzer. It can simulate drying at temperatures similar to the human body or replicate conditions that fabrics might experienceduring actual use, such as exposure to varying temperatures and humiditylevels. Such simulations enable a more accurate evaluation of how fabricsbehave in practical situations.
AATCC TM30: Antifungal Activity, Assessment on Textile Materials: Mildew and Rot Resistance of Textile MaterialsThis testing method is used to assess the vulnerabilityof textile materials to mildew and decay, and gauging theeffectiveness of fungicides on textile materials. This is important for supporting the claim of longevity of the product and allows for the evaluation and improvementof fungicide treatments. those treatments can enhancethe texmaterials resistance to growth especially as it is often exposed to water & sweat.
